BitMEX users can now trade Ethereum (ETH).

BitMEX has added support for the second largest cryptocurrency by capitalization.

Previously, BitMEX was known as a Bitcoin-only derivatives exchange, but now it is adding support for new assets. Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT ERC-20) are already available on the exchange. Now the Ethereum token - Ether - has been added to them.

The March 21st announcement states that users can now trade and convert ETH.

When buying digital assets on BitMEX, customers can choose from 36 fiat currencies. You can select USD, EUR, Pound Sterling, Japanese Yen, BRL, CAD, CHF, etc.

The exchange promises that users will be able to convert USDT to Ether “without paying any hidden fees.” “All cryptocurrency conversions on BitMEX happen instantly and at the specified conversion price.”

Last year, during an interview with CryptoPotato, the CEO of the company, Alexander Hoeptner, revealed that they will be adding new coins to take BitMEX to the next level. This year, BitMEX developers are actively putting plans into action.

The company is reportedly looking to add new assets beyond Ethereum in the coming weeks.
